Nepal Earthquake Response & Recovery Project

The Nepal Earthquake Response & Recovery Project was implemented in Dhading District, focusing on the communities of Nalang, Salang, Khari, Kumpur, and Jogimara VDCs. This initiative aimed to support individuals and families affected by the devastating earthquake, helping them rebuild their lives and restore their livelihoods.

Key components of the project included:

  • Food Security: Providing emergency food supplies and assistance to ensure affected families had access to basic nutrition during the recovery phase.
  • Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH): Improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities, promoting hygiene practices to prevent the outbreak of diseases in the aftermath of the disaster.
  • Shelter Support: Assisting in the reconstruction of homes and providing temporary shelter solutions to ensure the safety and dignity of displaced families.

The project adopted a community-centered approach, working closely with local stakeholders to address immediate needs and build resilience for long-term recovery. Through this effort, the program helped earthquake-affected communities in Dhading District regain stability and move towards sustainable recovery.
